Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to BQ at my next marathon (the Eisenhower Marathon in Abilene, Kansas), and am going to train toward running sub 3:30 marathons in the next two years.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to see how fast I can get while building mileage and intensity over the long run.  I don't like attaching times and numbers to this because I am just two years in to running after the birth of my youngest child. I will say that I've seen other runners who have made huge leaps since their first marathon, and that down the road I really do want to set my sights on a 3:00 marathon (obviously NOT there now, though).

Personal:

I'm a married mother to four children, self-employed, and really owe my return to fitness after the birth of my youngest child to the chance decision to register my oldest daughter for a Girls on the Run 5K race because she was active and seemed to have a talent and interest in running. I was totally out of shape then, two months after the birth of my youngest child, but training with her for the race and subsequently joining Team Tiara, a group of adult women benefiting Girls on the Run, really sent me down the path toward serious distance running.
